By Omololu Olumuyiwa

The Chairman, Bauchi State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Revd. Dr. Shuaibu Byel has said that the first batch of pilgrims from Bauchi State are spiritually blessed and fulfilled as a result of their pilgrimage exercise to the Holy Land of Israel.

Byel disclosed this shortly before the departure of the pilgrims from Bauchi State at the departure hall of Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel recently.

"I must confess, my experience at this year Christian pilgrimage is wonderful, surpassed my expectations and above all, it has greatly increased my spiritual growth and co-pilgrims from Bauchi State", Byel said.

Byel added, "The successful performance of the pilgrimage exercise to various sites in the Holy Land of Israel, Palestine and Jordan respectively were made possible as a result of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) solid arrangements in conjunction with reputable ground handler, Tabar Tours".

"The ground handler, Tabar Tours engaged by NCPC gave their best during the course of this year exercise, they took us to some news sites and gave a good biblical significance of the sites which I have never visited or experienced during my previous pilgrimage trips to Israel", Byel said.

Concluding, the Chairman, Bauchi State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Revd. Dr. Shuaibu Byel said he has the assurance that the second batch of the pilgrims from the state will have similar experience and he advised the Executive Secretary, NCPC, Mr. John Kennedy Opara not to relent on his good efforts in taking the Christian pilgrimage exercise to the next level.
