Rwanda displayed cultural diversity at Akwaaba, bagged awards.

Rwanda, "The land of a Thousand Hills" showcased that they are truly rich in culture and traditions at the just concluded Akwaaba African Travel Market (AFTM) held at Eko Hotel Expo Centre, Lagos, Nigeria on October 27 - 29, 2013.

The cultural diversity of the Rwandans through music and dance was massively displayed to the admiration of participants and exhibitors at AFTM.

For the stakeholders, participants and visitors at the three-day events, the long awaited opportunity to experience the Rwandans classical dancing steps came to reality at event.

Rwanda make their debut at this year AFTM and succeded with their aimed to provide the stakeholders, most especially the tour operators, travel agents, tourists and travel journalists present with comprehensive and unique tourism opportunities in Rwanda.

As a way to further reach and attracts visitors to the country, Rwanda Day celebration on October 29 at Akwaaba provided the avenue to enlightened the participants on what will make them to considered and preferred Rwanda, as their next destination in Africa.

RwandAir was also on deck to shared experience on its destination at the exhibition. The airline launched the inaugural Lagos - Kigali flights in December 2011 and presently operates five times direct flights from Lagos to Kigali en-routes other destinations like Dubai, Entebbe, Nairobi, Bujumbura, Johannesburg, Douala, Libreville, Mombasa, Brazzaville among others

To add glamour to the Rwanda Day celebration, the winner of the star prize of a brand new Kia Rio saloon car for the "Fly and Win" promotion eligible to those that bought RwandAir from July 23 to September 23, 2013 was announced.

RwandAir Country Manager - Nigeria, Fif Rurangwa said "We are using this forum to reward our customers for their loyalty despite the stiff competition. Also, RwandAir is at Akwaaba to re-assure our customers and intending customers of our high quality services with affordable prices".
