Plateau Pilgrims urged to support the good work of the state government

The Executive Secretary of the Plateau State Christian Pilgrims welfare Board, Rev. Fr George Gorap has tasked the Plateau Pilgrims currently in the Holy Land to support the government which has made it possible for them to undertake the spiritual journey to Israel.

He made the call during an exclusive interview with the Head Media NCPC, Celestine Toruka at Galilee, Israel. He enjoined them to pray for themselves and for the success of the Gov. Simon Lalong led administration.

He commended RT . Hon. Simon Lalong for advancing the cause of Christian pilgrimage in Plateau and in Nigeria as a whole.
Rev. Fr Gorap urged the governor to remain focus in his developmental strides.

He equally called on the well meaning Christians in the state to complement the efforts of the state government by sponsoring Christians "who are spiritually rich, but materially poor on Holy pilgrimage to Israel".

The Clergy also commended the Plateau Pilgrims for their wonderful conduct so far in Israel which according to him "it is expected of them as they have always been".

The Executive Secretary explained that his expectations would be to have a spiritually fulfilled pilgrimage anchored on prayers. He thanked the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission for the effective leadership it has put in place to make this year, pilgrimage a hitch free exercise.

The first batch of intending pilgrims from Plateau state departed Abuja on 17 December, and would complete their pilgrimage circle on 26th December when they are expected to leave for Nigeria.
