Governor Fasola commissioned Eko Signature, lauds hospitality initiative

The prestigious Eko Signature, a new brand of Eko Hotel & Suites group at popular Adetokunbo Ademola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos has been formally commissioned by Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN).

In his welcome address at the occasion, the managing director of Eko Hotels, Mr Ghasan Faddoul said that the newly opened signature hotel attests to the leadership of the Eko Hotels Group as the heartbeat of hospitality not only in Lagos but in Nigeria.

He stated further that the hotel project also sets a benchmark for many other projects in Lagos State which is a welcome development to the groups which has provided jobs to several Nigerians in its hotels equipped with state of the art facilities.

Governor Babatunde Fasola (SAN) while commissioning the hotel lauded the management of Eko Hotel & Suites on the hospitality developmental foresight and initiative.

Fasola asserted that the new outfit represents a vote of confidence in the policies and the programme that the State Government has implemented towards ensuring that businesses thrive.

The Governor noted that the new hotel is a kind of investment that creates cascading opportunities for not only people who would be directly employed there but people whose businesses would be defined by what happens there.

He added that people who supply their goods, people who supply their drinks, people who bring customers there, the taxi drivers, operators of transport system, the people who supply the bedding's and the people who will do the maintenance and people who would fit all the appliances are also involved in a positive spin-off of the value chain engendered by the new 5-Star Suites.

Eko Signature with 171 rooms comprises of 146 Club Suites, 9 Premium Suites, 15 Signature Suites and 1 Presidential Suite.

Aside from the new 171 rooms, the hotel had other facilities like a bar, six meeting rooms and 1 boardroom with state-of-the-art presentation technology, butler service, room service, spa and library.

Available in all the luxurious rooms are central air-conditioning with control unit; high speed WIFI Internet access; Cisco guest interface, NIMO enabled Televisions and Telephones.

The Club Suites have 42" LCD Flat Screen Televisions, Premium and Signature Suites with 55" LED Flat Screen Televisions; all suites with White marbled bathrooms installed with both hand and fixed powered showers provided by the popular designer Pascal Morabito from Paris.

Also all the suites have King size bed with soft bedding's; Nespresso coffee machines; Mini bar; Safe box; the finest European linens, exquisite seating area that provides an ideal place to work, relax and entertain guests.

With a bold contemporary style and additional 171 exquisitely furnished 5-star suites, Eko Hotels group now becomes the largest hotel in West Africa with 825 rooms.
